Eating in and around Cairo Montenotte
The house is only 4 minutes away from the center of Cairo Montenotte. Cairo Montenotte is one of the larger cities in the area and a centre for the region. It is strategically located between the airports of Genoa (1 hr), Turin (1.5 hrs), Milano and Nice (2 hrs). It features many nice bars, restaurants and shops. Every Thursday, there is a large street market on the main square.
Via Roma For a nice coffee in the morning, visit the coffee bar on the corner of the Via Roma and Via dei Portici (or any of the other local coffee bars) and buy some fresh focaccia in the bakery on the corner across the square.
Catering At Home by Lechezzu. Paolo Ranaldo is a professional catering chef who has created many wonderful dinners and lunches for large and small groups at Il Pavone Reale. In the best Italian tradition, he creates delicious food from simple ingredients. Especially his desserts are stunning.
La Grotta is the most popular restaurant in town and a great choice for a good pasta or pizza for lunch or dinner. Guido the owner will do his utmost to make sure that everybody has a good time. Our personal favourite dish is the pasta frutta di mare.

La Bruschetta is the most refined restaurant in Cairo Montenotte and wonderful for a quiet romantic or fancy dinner. Their wine collection is stunning so don’t forget to ask the chef to help you select the best wine to accompany your diner. Their tartufo bistecca is the most succulent steak you have ever tasted, completely buried in truffle, highly recommended!

La Locanda Dell’Angelo About 10 km away from the house, in the medieval town Millesimo, you will find La Locanda Dell’Angelo, one of the finest restaurants in the region, set in a beautifully restored wine cellar. We think they deserve a Michelin star (if they haven’t got one already).
